Pené Grandé formed in late 1998 consisting of vocalist Der Brezeln, guitarist Disgorging Fetus, and drummer Jew Afro. Blasting out grindcore worse than the likes of Anal Cunt and having sicker humor than Abscess, Pené Grandé truly stood more rancid and insensitive than many grind outfits to date. Their first recording, done in early 2000, was titled Sodom Hussein. This EP featured 4 tracks of sludge grind, and an N'Sync cover translated into German. Soon after the Sodom Hussein EP was released, Der Brezeln quit the band, and Emperor Anbesol took over the vocal duties. Immediately after his entering, 22 tracks were recorded in one session in late 2000. Half of these tracks were released as the full length release titled Sleepover At Satan's House, and the other half was scrapped. Soon after that, 5 more tracks were recorded for the Chimp Sandwich full length, which consisted of these 5 tracks, and a good portion of the scrapped songs from the SOASH session. This release was an instant success, combining their sick signature slacker sound, and their putrid humor. Soon after, in early 2001, 3 tracks from Chimp Sandwich and 2 unreleased tracks were put together to make up the Dog Biscuits For Lunch EP. Not long after in March 2001, Pené Grandé split up, as a result to all the members trying to keep up other projects.
